nurseBabies and Children

Our Health Visitors run a baby clinic for general advice and checks, no appointment is necessary.  This is held at Marchmont St Giles Church, Kilgraston Road. This is Well Baby Drop-in - Monday 10.30am to 11.30am.

Last weights for babies at 11.30am.

In addition, the practice nurses carry out immunisations from 11.30 at the practice.

From 8am on Tuesday 23rd March 2021 any child or young person requiring access to A&E, must go to the new Royal Hospital for Children and Young People at little France.

Women’s Health

The practice provides maternity services and full family planning services including fitting of coils (IUD’s/IUS) and implants.

Women aged 25-49 years should have a cervical smear test every 3 years.  Women aged 50-64 years should have a cervical smear test every 5 years. A reminder will be sent when the next smear is due. The National Breast screening programme is run locally from Springwell House in Ardmillan Terrace for women aged 50 – 64yrs.

Minor Surgery

Certain procedures such as removal of skin lumps and joint injections can be performed by your doctor, often with the assistance of the practice nurse. Please ask your doctor for details.
