OPEN SURGERIES

DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 PANDEMIC

THE OPEN SURGIES ARE BEING STOPPED.

ALL ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS ARE BEING CANCELLED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

PLEASE PHONE THE SURGERY IN THE FIRST INSTANCE.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR CO-OPERATION DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

THIS DECISION HAS BEEN MADE AS PER QUIDANCE BY THE GOVERNMENT AND OTHER STATUTORY BODIES.

Normally services will resume when the situation

allows.

Many appointments will be able to be done by a telephone or video consultation.  These consultations will require the same amount of privacy and focus as face to face consultations, so we ask you to be mindful of where you are calling from.  A landline gives a better reception than a mobile does and a quiet room will give less distraction and background noise than from a car.  We appreciate your co-operation with this.

There are Open surgeries every weekday mornings.  The surgery opens its door at 8am.

To see a doctor at the open surgery, simply come to the surgery between 8am and 10am that day.  The doctor will start the open surgery at 9am. We will endeavour to arrange for you to see the doctor of your choice, but we cannot guarantee this in the open surgery.  If you feel that you need more time to discuss your problem with the doctor, we recommend that you make an appointment in a booked surgery with the doctor you wish to see.

We no longer accept calls to pre book within the open surgery for the following day.  All patients must check in, in person, at the surgery to be added to the open surgery clinic list.

Unfortunately due to the nature of these open clinics, you may, on some mornings, have to wait for some time to be seen.  Please ask the receptionist for an estimated time when you book in.

BOOKABLE SURGERIES

Surgeries by appointment are held every weekday afternoon.  All surgeries other than the open surgeries are by appointment only.

Book via Vision Online (you will need to attend the practice with photo ID to register for this first)

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Cancel via Vision Online (you will need to attend the practice with photo ID to register for this first)

Not attending appointments

We are a very busy practice and appointments with the Doctors and Nurses are always in great demand, by not attending and failing to cancel the appointments you are preventing other patients being seen, also taking up valuable clinicians time.  We will be writing to patients who fail to turn up for their booked appointments and will have to reconsider registration status of patients who DNA more than 3 times within 12 months.
