Earwax is produced inside your ears to keep them clean and free of germs. It usually passes out of the ears harmlessly, but sometimes too much can build up and block the ears.
A build-up of earwax is a common problem that can often be treated using eardrops bought from a pharmacy.
These often need 2 weeks of treatment.
If these dont work, you may need microsuctioning of you ear canal. We do not provide this at the practice.
If you are concerned about your hearing you can be referred by your GP for a hearing test, this can take a number of weeks/months. If you are keen to see someone quicker then a lot of pharmacies and opticians now also run hearing tests and these are often free.
